In order to know if the improvement we’re seeing is real we’ll need to set the test as an A/B test. This means test visitors will be randomly split (between old and new page) and a statistical calculator will track to see if the winner is statistically significant.

Significance happens when the confidence interval is above 95%. But here’s the thing, testing tools are data hungry. They need a large number of transactions in order to confidently confirm we’ve crossed our 20% lift target.
