  1. I got one of these back when I was in college in the early 80’s. It is a trivial amount but it makes most folks feel obligated (if not appreciated) to complete the survey.

      You’re exactly right. Those 2 dollar bills had a big psychological effect. At the very least they permanently etched the mailing company (nielsen) in my mind. That’s a victory in their books, I’m sure.
