The trouble with category pages on Amazon is that they list multiple items, which means the real estate per item is small. And this means the product image is small, which can make your product label unreadable (because image size is tiny).
A clever tactic to make your product label more visible on Amazon is to update the photo to include a graphic with the name of the product (or a few features you’re trying to highlight).
Not only will this make your product name easy to read the unconventional design will make your listing stand out. See green arrow in screenshot below:
Why does this matter? Purchase decisions are made in nano seconds. Often the buyer herself isn’t aware of the subconscious process. We call this System 1 mode. In such situations, anything we do to make our listing stand out will help boost sales.

This is just one of many examples (some obvious, and some not-so-obvious) of how we use buyer psychology to take visitors to your site from “I’m interested” to “That’s it, I’m pulling the trigger”. We use established principles of behavioral economics to influence. Marketers try and get results by dialing up the marketing volume. We show you how to zig when everyone is zagging.
